Natural Diet

When You think about right diet for Your cat, ask Yourself a question first: What do wild cats eat? Well there's only one answer: raw meat and bones.
Cats are true carnivores there's no diffrence between wild and domesticated cats. Cats in wild eat all their prey including intestines and bones. So why do we feed our cats most unnatural way, giving them dry kibbles? The truth is that dry food is the worst possible food you can feed to Your cat.
It constantly dehydrates Your pet that leads to kidney problems. Cats evolved as desert creatures and are well adapted (still!) to survive in a dry climate, if fed their natural food. Cats are not thirst driven like dogs and are able to survive on less water than dogs. They compensate for reduced water intake by concentrating their urine. When fed a dry food diet (which has less than 10 percent moisture), unless they drink a lot of water, which most cats do not, they are in a constant state of dehydration. Moreover, although a cat consuming a dry food diet does drink more water than a cat consuming a canned food diet, in the end, when water from all sources is added together what's in their diet plus what they drink the cat consumes approximately HALF the amount of water compared with a cat eating canned foods. On a dry food diet, a cat's urine becomes overly concentrated which leads to feline lower urinary tract disease. Consumption of dry food is associated with lower urinary tract disease as is increased frequency of feeding (a.k.a "free feeding" which is how most people feed dry food), no matter what type of food is fed and obesity. Most of dry food contains grain which is not digestable for cats. Grains are carbohydrates and are composed primarily of starch. Cats are considered obligate carnivores as they have strict requirements for certain nutrients that can only be found in animal tissues.
Cats cannot synthesize taurine or arginine, amino acids found only in meat. They lack the ability to convert linoleic acid (contain in plants) to arachidonic acid (contained in animal fat). They cannot convert beta-carotene to vitamin A. Cats cannot decrease activity of hepatic enzymes when fed low-protein foods they must consume a high protein diet. Cats must eat meat to survive. Another myth is a claim that dry food cleans your cat's teeth - it doesn't. Cat's jaws are constructed to chew raw meat. Chewing is natural way to clean teeth.
The most natural and healthiest way to feed Your cat is preparing complete, nutrishional balanced food using raw meat and supplements. Below is very simple to prepare recipe for healthy, complete cat food:
- 250g rabbit raw meat (no bones)
- 350g chicken raw meat with skin (no bones)
- 250g turkey raw meat with skin (no bones)
- 150g chicken raw hearts
- 10ml salmon oil
- 1 raw yolk
- 12.5 g Felini Complete
- 150ml of water
Felini Complete - you can buy it in zooplus
Grind chicken meat and add salmon oil, yolk and Felini Complete mixed with water - mix all wel with hand or spoon (as you prefer) rest of meat and hearts I cut in chunks (for dental care of my cats). I mix it all together.
Put it in to daily portions of 130g/cat and freeze.
Very simple, very healthy and natural. Way better than dry or canned food.
With this recipe You can use any kind of meat (excluding pork).
For minced meat, meat chunks and hearts see Prizechoice.
Feeding you cat only raw meat will not cover all their nutrishional needs so you need to add supplement, the easyiest to use is Felini Complete.
Felini Complete is a balanced dietary supplement and turns pure meat into a all-round balanced meal.
Feeding Your cat raw meat will make him stronger, bigger and healthier.
This natural diet is much cheaper comparing to commercial food diets.
Some of the benefits are:
- Reduced shedding and fewer hairballs;
- Improved coat and skin condition;
- Reduced litter box odor;
- Less dental problems;
- better immune system;
- healthier cat;
- less skin and food allergies
